Similar in style to a Burgundian wine, the 2016 Vineyard Select Estate Pinot Noir is richly complex and steeped in terroir. With a garnet jewel-tone hue, the 2016 vintage opens with scents of red raspberries, cranberries, and cloves. The palate evokes strawberry, pluot, fennel and spices, continuing into an elongated finish with notes of pretty French oak. A superior wine now, structured tannins and focused acidity also make this wine an excellent candidate for cellar aging.
